Executive Women International® was established in 1938.  The founder, Lucille Johnson Perkins recognized the importance and potential of an association of key women working with their executives to promote their firms and improve their community.  EWI® is international.  Over 3,000 companies and 3,500 representatives are members of EWI® today with chapters located in major cities in the United States, Canada and Europe.  Each EWI® chapter consists of an association of non-competing businesses, governmental agencies, non-profit enterprises or associations making it the premier organization for networking and leadership development for today’s business professionals and their firms.  The Knoxville Chapter was chartered in December, 1987 and has over 40 member firms.
